In a shining example of international collaboration and environmental stewardship, the Rotary Club of Caulfield has extended its support to the Rotaract Club of Siem Reap, Cambodia, for an inspiring initiative: Project T – Trees for Life.

This impactful tree-planting project aims to restore green cover and and Siem Reap, a region deeply affected by deforestation and environmental degradation. The Rotaract Club of Siem Reap has taken the lead on the ground, organising planting activities with local communities, schools and environmental groups to raise awareness about climate change, biodiversity, and sustainable living.
The Rotary Club of Caulfield's involvement has been instrumental in providing support and international visibility to the project. This partnership highlights Rotary's commitment to protecting the environment, one of Rotary International's seven areas of focus. Through joint efforts, hundreds of trees have already been planted, with more scheduled in the coming months. Beyond planting trees, Project T is about nurturing a culture of environmental responsibility. Educational workshops are held alongside planting events, empowering youth and local families with knowledge on how trees contribute to soil health, water cycles, and carbon absorption.
