District 9800 Environmental Sustainability
The Rotary District 9800 Environmental Sustainability (ES) Committee was formed in 2019 in response to Rotary International’s adoption of Environmental Sustainability as its seventh Area of Focus.
The key functions of the D9800 ES Committee are to encourage clubs to identify and carry out environmental sustainability projects; to provide support and resources to assist clubs with their projects; and to work with other groups that have similar aims.
Clubs are encouraged to establish their own Environmental Sustainability Committee (see link on the sidebar to Club Environmental Sustainability Committee for a model); and to appoint an Environmental Representative to provide a key point of contact between the club and the District ES Committee.
Co-chairs of the District ES Committee for 2022-23 are: Donna Martin (RC Bacchus Marsh) and David Dippie (RC Keilor East).
