YOUR GARDEN - OUR FUTURE

Your Garden - Our Future - A special Evening Celebrating  Gardens, Bees and our Shared Environment

Rotarians for Bees has not had a major event since 2022 , Mainly due to Covid and other factors.  But now, we are back with a huge event at Box Hill Golf Club on Monday 7 April, featuring Costa Georgiadis from the ABC Gardening Program, Aris Petratos (Past President of Victorian Apiarist Association), Andrew Laidlaw (Melbourne Botanical Gardens Botanical Architect) and Fiona Chambers (CEO of the Wheen Bee Foundation).

Our presenters will talk about the threats facing Bees and Pollinators, what is being done to combat the challenges, what we can all do in our own garden space from rooftop to nature strip to large areas. We will also learn about the history and treasures of our own Botanical Gardens and the wonderful education and habitat initiatives from the Wheen Bee Foundation and Beechworth Honey. In his own inimitable style, Costa will get amongst the audience and enthuse us all.

There will be some exclusive auction items including a guided personal tour of the Botanical Gardens (by Andrew) for a group of ten plus afternoon tea, a fully functioning bee hive for your garden including maintenance for a year, an exclusive hamper of Beechworth Honey products etc etc. - all under the professional control of our own Jonathan Shepherd.  And this being Rotary, there will be a Raffle with numerous and high value prizes.

Funds raised will go towards education programs and habitat creation with R4BEES and our partners who have strong school garden projects and information material.

Bookings available by link and QR code to the Trybooking site ... bookings will be on a "first in" basis with a limit of 150 attendees.  The evening will include an excellent two course meal and drinks at bar prices.
