On 26 April, Wyndham Harbour will come alive with purpose as Rhythms & Rides for Change arrives in Werribee South. Led by Werribee Rotary in close collaboration with Rotary This inclusive event will combine classic cars, live music and activities for the whole family - with a clear mission: to stop family violence before it starts. Set along Quay Boulevard, the event invites the entire community to stand together, learn more and take meaningful action toward safer families.
Entry will be by donation. Funds raised will directly support Rotary Safe Families school programs. Every $2,000 sponsors a ten-week secondary school program for Years 9 and 10 students, empowering young people to recognise unhealthy behaviours, build respectful relationships and seek support early. Additional funds help provide recovery resources and retreats for women rebuilding their lives after abuse.
The day will be vibrant and welcoming: vintage vehicles on display, youth and cultural performances, food trucks, Rotary BBQ, children’s activities and community information hubs. At the heart of the festival is the Rotary Safe Families education initiative — a national program equipping schools and communities with practical tools, short films and resources to address the underlying causes of abuse and remove the silence that allows it to continue. Rhythms & Rides for Change is more than a festival — it is a united Rotary-led community response. Through partnership, education and collaboration, local clubs, youth services and support agencies are working side by side to make prevention visible and practical. Together, we’re using education and collaboration to help prevent abuse before it starts.
