Richard developed his passion for volunteering beginning with Round Table International in South Africa where he served as Regional Chair. A distinguished Rotary career followed commencing in 1985 across five Rotary Clubs including Westville, Durbin South Africa, South Melbourne, Kew East(President), Southbank (Charter President) and finally Docklands, accepting an invitation from me as then District Governor in 2013 to the position of President to revive the struggling Club. Never one to say no, Richard had a full life of service to others managing many projects over almost 40 years.
Richard always put others first, and despite his own challenges, served with distinction. At peace now and sadly missed by many.
