The GardenDesignFest is the biggest open garden weekend event in Victoria. Keep 12 -13 and 19-20 November 2022 free.  The popular bi-annual event is on again in 2022 following its cancellation during COVID. It is now more important than ever to get out and enjoy nature in a beautiful garden setting.

These fabulous gardens will interest garden clubs, landscape designers and anyone who enjoys learning how a garden can be designed to bring out its best features.  Gardens in the eastern and bayside suburbs of Melbourne and on the Mornington Peninsula will be displayed on November 12-13 and gardens in Ballarat, the Macedon Ranges and Euroa will be displayed on the weekend of November 19-20.

The GardenDesignFest is a major event for garden lovers and, aside from COVID lockdowns, has been held every two years since 2000.  The aim is to showcase a variety of gardens in selected areas throughout Victoria with proceeds towards Rotary’s mission to support local and international charities. To date, more than $600,000 has been donated to various charities and this year 20% of the funds raised will be donated to Youth Suicide Awareness and the balance to other Rotary community activities.

In addition, many well- known landscape designers will be on hand over the weekends to discuss their work, including Eckersley Garden Architecture, Anne King, Paul Bangay, Robert Boyle and may other prominent names.

Don’t miss this event!
