Will your club offer a Year 11-12 scholarship to your local High School this year? If so, Rotary Foundation Year 11-12 Scholarship Grants will again be available to support you.

Applications for grants opened 1st October 2022 and close on 12th November.

The Year 11-12 grants have proven highly successful, with many clubs leveraging the opportunity they bring to strengthen relationships with the local school, and introduce other Rotary youth programs to the school community.

Some other good news: If you have participated in this program before, you will notice that things have been simplified. To make the program more manageable, the reporting requirements have been streamlined, and funding has been moved to a ‘claims-based’ process. Successful clubs will have grant funds ‘reserved’ for them. Those clubs will then only have to claim payment by the due date, and in the prescribed format, to receive their grant payment immediately. Payments to clubs will be made at the end of each of the 2023 and 2024 school years.

Up to ten scholarship claims-based grants valued at $1,000 will be awarded to match club contributions of $1,000. Each scholarship is to be for $2,000 over two years ($1000 for each of Years 11 and 12), for a nominated student undertaking Year 10 studies in 2022. Priority will be given to clubs that have not previously participated in the program.

Guidelines and application are available now at https://rotarydistrict9800.org.au/sitepage/district-and-global-grants/year-11---12-scholarship-claim-based-grants . The forms were also be distributed via email to clubs in September, to encourage early discussions with schools.
