The 2019 Model United Nations Assembly (MUNA) was held at Swinburne University in Hawthorn on the weekend April 27-28. For many years MUNA had been held at Rotary’s Camp Getaway near Axedale 150 kms from Melbourne. The move back to Melbourne worked well in many ways and the fee per team was reduced to $375. Chadstone-East Malvern and Glenferrie Rotary clubs were the joint host and many of their members participated in running MUNA.Sixty students came from twenty-two schools sponsored by twenty Rotary clubs. In teams of two they represented thirty countries. Except for six Bacchus Marsh students all others travelled to and from MUNA each day. Accommodation for the Bacchus Marsh students was paid for by MUNA
