An article from Jonathon Shepherd, Kew Rotary
People tend to celebrate Birthdays and Anniversaries in their favourite spot: at home, in a restaurant or out in a park with family and friends. Instead of a traditional location, the Rotary and Community Show 94.1FM 3WBC is holding its party in a marketplace with hundreds of browsers on Sunday, 22 November from 10am to 12 noon. You are all invited to join us as we celebrate our Twenty-first Birthday/Anniversary.
It’s hard to believe that the “Rotary Radio” show you tune into each Friday between 6.00-8.00pm on 94.1FM 3WBC has turned 21 years. To celebrate this important milestone (and as part of the 50th anniversary celebrations of the Camberwell Market, an initiative of Rotary Balwyn), where we will be conducting an outside broadcast in the middle of the Market. Come and see how this award-winning program is put together at a live broadcast from this exciting outdoor location. Hundreds of market goers will be there to see the chaos, laughter and fun involved in putting a live radio show to air. Regular listeners know that we have so much fun in front and behind the microphones, so we want to share with you the mayhem and sometimes technical problems that lie behind the calm exterior of the show. Members of the Rotary Radio team and other presenters from 94.1 3WBC will be there. A great opportunity to put a face to a voice.
In conjunction with the Rotary Club of Balwyn, the management team of the Camberwell Sunday Market, the 94.1 FM 3WBC outside broadcast team and Rotarians from Canterbury, Glenferrie. Kew, Prahran and Toorak, we invite you to stop by and see the show. This is also a great opportunity to grab a Christmas bargain at the Market.
So, see you there on Sunday 22 November from 10am to 12 noon at the centre stage of the Camberwell Sunday Market. No need to bring a present – just your donation at the entry.
