It was a truly international night when Rotary Canterbury hosted Rotarians from 20 clubs to a dinner at Amora Hotel.  Guests included Rotarians from sister clubs in the Philippines, from several African countries, from the USA, from England and from several interstate clubs.  A highlight of the night was a celebration of the club’s vital contribution, led by Doug Hawley and Nora Ley, to the success of The Big Difference FORaMEAL food packing event at Federation Square.

Guests were invited to wear something related to their native land, and there was some stand out national dress to be seen.

Representatives of guest clubs were also invited to outline one of their club’s key projects, an offer that was taken up with delight – Rotarians love to talk about their projects.  The result was a reminder of the breadth of projects, large and small, in the Rotary world, and the true internationality of Rotary.
