Get up close to big shiny rigs!

Looking for a great — and affordable — day out with the family on the last weekend of November? There’s something for all ages at the Castlemaine Rotary Truck Show over the weekend of Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 November at the Campbells Creek Recreation Reserve.

The very popular convoy of trucks on Sunday morning always draws an enthusiastic crowd
A truck show is so much more than trucks!  Live music on stage will feature special guest Greg Champion of Coodabeen Champions fame supported by Truck Show favourite, award-winning country singer and song-writer, Sandee Facy.   This family-friendly event, now in its 37th year and considered one of Australia’s premier truck shows, celebrates the important contribution of the trucking industry and raises funds for the community.
There's lots of free entertainment for the kids, everything from pony rides to face painting and adventure parks — did we mention entry is free for under-16s? — along with a wide range of food and light refreshments, and a licensed bar. And of course, we can’t forget the incredible sight of three hundred or so — that's 300! — gleaming, glistening big rigs vying for the honour of Best in Show. It is a valuable insight into the industry.
The show is open from noon on Saturday and 10am on Sunday, and a highlight for many locals is the Truck Convoy passing through the centre of Castlemaine from 9am Sunday morning. If you don’t know where the venue is, just follow those trucks! When the crowds have left and silence once again settles on the Campbells Creek Recreation Reserve, Castlemaine Rotary uses the funds raised to support projects and community organisations both locally and overseas.
So head up to Castlemaine on the weekend of 29 and 30 November for a great experience and raise funds for Rotary.  And thanks to our proud sponsor Shamick Transport.
