After a lot of planning and preparation the Rotary Clubs of Caulfield and Elsternwick (not yet chartered) have started the Caulfield Racecourse Reserve Community Market.  The inaugural Market, with over 120 stall holders, was held on February 5th 2023 and was alive with people, stalls and dogs.

There will be a Market on the first Sunday of every month from here on.

The market is located around the Northern lake, an area within the Reserve that has been a well-kept secret up to now. Parking is free.

Open from 9am to 2pm, the market offers fresh produce, local goods and food to go, along with a wonderful mix of friendly people to meet.

For more information and stallholder applications, go to the market Website

At each Market, the two Rotary clubs will be supported by members of a local Community Group.  The first market was supported by the Murrumbeena Football and Netball Club, who marshalled cars and people attending.

An official opening ceremony was held on 5th February. After words of encouragement from Sam Almaliki, Chair of Caulfield Racecourse Reserve Trust, David Southwick MP, and Cr Margaret Esakoff,  the Market was officially opened by Deputy Mayor Anne-Marie Cade.  All speakers were very excited that we are using this Reserve as it is meant to be used - as public space.

Come along and experience this great day, while you stock up with wonderful produce and local goods.
