Great news - Bookings for our Conference are now open and Deb and I look forward to welcoming you to our wonderful regional city.
Our ‘Gathering on the Goldfields’ District Conference in Bendigo promises to be an enjoyable and inspiring time for all Rotarians and an event that will bring us all together in a spirit of friendship and collaboration.
Our organising committee and the many volunteers already in action have put into place a program that is relevant and informative and will highlight the excellent work being undertaken across District 9800.
We wish to recognise the achievements of Rotarians within our District who are making a difference. So, our program will include some hands-on activities as well as quality speakers focused on issues that matter. The entertainment will provide enjoyment for all. Additionally, we hope you will join us on Friday afternoon to experience some of the delights of the Central Victorian region.
The first formal event will be at the architecturally magnificent Bendigo Town Hall on Friday evening when the official welcome program will be held. Attendees will also be able to collect their conference packs at this time. After the formal opening, clubs can get together for their club dinners at some of the fine eateries in Bendigo. Saturday and Sunday, we will be meeting at the Ulumbarra Theatre - a redevelopment of the gaol which operated from 1863 until 2004.
My visits to clubs affirm just how much people are looking forward to coming together again and I am keen to ensure our Conference reinforces the positivity throughout D9800: and provides a lasting memory and reaffirms why it is great to be in Rotary.
