Hi Rotarians and friends of Rotary,

I am sure you are all looking forward to the easing of restrictions and all the freedoms that this will bring. I am still located in Ballarat and have been enjoying running around Lake Wendouree while participating in the End Polio Walk throughout October. The fundraising continues for this very worthy cause and if you would like to donate, the link is here:

Peace Essay Project

Rotary Wyndham Harbour’s Peace Essay Project captured the interest of many other Rotary Clubs in 2020, the Centenary Year of Rotary in Australia and New Zealand.  Clubs and schools in Victoria, New South Wales and the ACT, as well as several Rotary Peace Fellows took part in the project. To celebrate the work of this year’s primary school contributors, a joyous ceremony was held on Zoom on the 21st September, the International Day of Peace.

Pandemic or no pandemic, Steptoe (aka Phil Hartcher) and his community team (CT) from Rotary Wyndham continue to assist people in the community who are in urgent need.

Volunteering Opportunities

  • Help is needed on the District Public Image team. A great opportunity to help, learn, share and make a difference across the District.

  • Help is needed on the production of the District Networker. It could be planning the layout, content, stories etc. Come find out more about this fun opportunity. :)

  • And we are looking for an Online Event Coordinator such as creating fun 'Morning Tea with DG'. Is that you? :)

If you would like to know more about the above opportunities, please contact Sandi Fulcher, District Club Service Chair to find out more detail about these great opportunities.

And if you have a volunteering opportunity that you would like to share, please contact Sandi at sandi.fulcher@rotary9800.org
