 manda Wendt in a 'Hands on Volunteering with the DG' experience helping to
  sort\, pack and label items to assist Refugees from the Afghan and Ukrain
 e communities.  The beneficiaries arrive with virtually nothing in the wa
 y of possessions\, so we are providing clothing\, furniture\, bedding\, ho
 usehold supplies\, toys\, bicycles\, and appliances to supplement basic go
 vernment packages. We have also provided food when needed.
