2020 Camberwell Art Show

Camberwell Art Show. June 27 – July 5 at Swinburne University, Hawthorn.
Now in its 55th year, it’s one of Australia’s largest and best known community Art Shows. It is a competition and showcase of art organised by the Rotary Club of Camberwell featuring over 1,300 paintings by many of Australia’s top emerging and established artists.  Around $40,000 worth of prizes are up for grabs including $25,000 to the winning artist.  We are constantly on the lookout for volunteers to help set-up the Art Show (usually over 3-4 days prior to opening) plus, help closing down the Art Show on the final day or so. You may be free for an hour or so, or a day. Your support will be appreciated.
We specifically seek help with, for example-
  • Assisting with admin and coordination of paintings at time of delivery by artists. Basic computer skills handy.
  • Assisting with hanging paintings on panels
  • General help during Art Show public opening hours.
Even if you don’t have an interest in art, here’s a great opportunity to get involved, meet Rotary members, Art Show patrons and sponsors. People skills are a big plus. It’s rewarding to know that all net proceeds are directed to Camberwell Rotary charitable programs and projects in the local and wider communities. We are all volunteers. You’ll enjoy the experience!
Note- Volunteers must have a Working With Children Check card.
Application forms for the WWC card are obtained from Australia Post or
Department of Justice at  http://www.workingwithchildren.vic.gov.au/
There is no cost involved.
