Cityscape Elsternwick – art in the urban environment has come and gone. With wonderful weather all day, there was quite a crowd in the area as we shared our art centred day with the Elsternwick Village celebrations. The name change brings lots of new incentives to the area.
There were 26 artists spread around the area from the station to Orrong Road, and a few side streets. There was also a tent with children’s art activities going on, guided by Rachel Mackay. Lots of art palettes were coloured, pots of gold added to the end of the rainbow and a photo board for children to have their body transformed into bee land (on the left of the Administration Tent) in the photo.
Separately organized but around us were face painters, jugglers, people on stilts, roving musicians, free green balloons and much more. It all enhanced the day for us.
Looking forward to seeing you at the Cityscape Exhibition at the Glen Eira City Gallery Annexe from 26th November to 11th December, 2016 so you can see the completed works from this wonderful day.
